Once again, the CIA is saying that there is no evidence at all for one of the President's justifications for invading Iraq just didn't exist. This time it is the claim that Saddam was giving al-Qaeda or other terrorists WMDs (or any other weapons).
Given that we've seen that there are no WMDs in Iraq (and haven't been since 1993), no ties between Iraq and al-Qaeda, and not weapons transfers to other terrorist groups, I'm sort of confused abotu why we invaded Iraq at all. Maybe I'm missing something important.
nd for those of you who think the existence of some terrorists opeating in northern Iraq before the invasion gave us the right to invade, I ask this question. Why didn't we invade Northern Ireland? Or does that give African nations the right to invade the United States because the KKK and Christian Identity hate groups operate here. Does the President get held responsible for those people?
